The Lower East Side Tenement Museum, Schneider's Saloon, New York, New York
An interpretive master plan was produced by 4274 for Schneider’s Saloon, which will be the Tenement Museum’s first interpreted commercial space. The 1,600-square-foot space, which will include a working bar, will interpret the saloon as a “working-man’s club,” German saloons in particular, and paint a picture of the Reconstruction-era Lower East Side when it was known by its residents as Kleindeutschland (Little Germany).
