Belle Grove Plantation, A National Historic Trust Site, Middletown, Virginia
A key group decision was the adaptive reuse of the silo as an enclosure for the stairway connecting the two levels of the barn, and as a lookout tower, or what came to be called a silorama. The silorama will give visitors the opportunity to get a sweeping view of the plantation and surrounding land, and provide Belle Grove with an interpretive opportunity.
