Belle Grove Plantation, Middletown, Virginia
A National Trust for Historic Preservation property, Belle Grove commissioned 4274 to provide schematic interpretive
designs and content outlines for planned Welcome Center exhibits. In addition, Belle Grove commissioned a 36" x 24"
scale model of the plantation circa 1820. To confirm the details of the landscape and the locations of many
structures, 4274 worked with archaeologist Dr. Clarence Geier of James Madison University, who led several
seasons of digging in the area around the manor house. Team members included Kennedy Fabrications and Helen Reigle..
